MOUNTVIEW PARTNERS WITH ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER FOUNDATION AND LW THEATRES ON NEW FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP IN TECHNICAL PRODUCTION
Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and LW Theatres, to further champion excellence, education and diversity in the performing arts sector.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation x LW Theatres Scholarship will support one student to complete a 2-year FdA in Technical Production at Mountview, covering full tuition fees plus a maintenance bursary to widen access to backstage roles in live entertainment. Mountview’s Technical Production training is primarily focussed on sound and lighting, while also incorporating video and technical stage craft. Course content includes lighting and sound studio skills, the preparation and management of technical equipment, lighting and sound system design, how to programme and operate desks, video mapping and design, as well as core technical and maintenance skills.
Mountview, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, and LW Theatres share a commitment to removing barriers to careers in the arts and believe that a person’s circumstances should never prevent them from reaching their potential.
How To Apply:
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have been offered a place on Mountview's 2-year FdA in Technical Production course commencing in September 2024 and have submitted a complete Scholarships request form by Thursday 18th July at 9am. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and selected by a panel towards the end of July.
