Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is delighted to extend support to the King’s Foundation Building Craft Programme, an 8 month initiative for craftspeople with experience in the construction industry to train in heritage building skills. This year, ALWF support will target the Live Build at Dumfries House, an essential component of the Building Craft Programme designed to facilitate the full range of traditional building skills practised by this year’s cohort. Following the Live Build project the students will have 15 weeks of work placements shadowing master crafts people working on high profile heritage restoration projects. The programme includes a short course in business skills and setting up and running a business in the construction sector.
