Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester

In November 2013, the Trustees of the Foundation awarded a one-off grant to Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre's Young Company, which provides professional training and mentoring to young people aged 14-21 from diverse backgrounds in performing, writing, technical design, public speaking, marketing and production. Access to first nights and the theatre's green room, together with a focus on developing individual confidence and skills in a professional environment, is designed to encourage participants to feel the theatre is their "creative home". www.royalexchange.co.uk
