ASSOCIATE MUSIC DIRECTOR ROLE – ROYAL CENTRAL SCHOOL OF SPEECH AND DRAMA

A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, a leading Higher Education conservatoire specialising in the theatre arts.

This role will provide a newly graduated musical director the essential next step into professional practice. Central will offer a specialist experience within a training environment. Central’s staff will be the Associates’ professional colleagues and will mentor the Associate during the period of engagement. The Associate Musical Director will be able to enhance the School’s Undergraduate BA Acting Musical Theatre course through peer-to-peer support of BA Acting Musical Theatre students and by demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm in developing projects. 

Applicants must have knowledge and understanding of a Musical Theatre repertoire and hold a degree or equivalent in Music. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate evidence of strong keyboard skills and understanding of sung voice techniques.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Associate Musical Director will be awarded by Central following an application and interview process. There will be one available Fellowship for the year 2017/18.
