MTA opened in 2009 and is emerging as an excellent training facility for young West End musical theatre performers. In October 2011, the Trustees of The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation awarded a one off grant towards the first year's employment costs of an administrator / production manager at the MTA which has been run single-handedly by the Principal to date. The Trustees are particularly pleased that this appointment will help create sustainability for the academy at this early stage in its development and also work towards it achieving charitable status.
