Course:

BA (Hons) ACTING – 3 years, full time

Course Details:

We focus on the individual. You are not just an actor, but also an artist. At LIPA you can become an independent, inventive practitioner. You can be someone who harnesses what’s unique to you and tackles diverse performance styles across different platforms.

You learn in-depth acting techniques, refine voice and movement skills and perform a variety of texts (including classics). By your second year, you experience how the sector works, while collaborating with an established critically acclaimed theatre company or practitioner (2018 - Slung Low, 2019 - Gecko, 2021 - Peepolykus, 2022 - Simon Armitage and LYR), devising a public performance.

In your third year, you continue to expand your sector experience by working at a professional level on a series of public performances with some of this country’s brightest directors and writers, often premiering new writing. The course ends with a festival of new work, FutureProof, featuring material you create in collaboration with your colleagues, as you combine your experience and ambitions to produce innovative work, placing you at the forefront of sector development.
